September Construction Update – Travino Gardens
Date / September 12, 2018

Travino Gardens is really taking shape! You can probably see from these photos that this beautiful building is being constructed in two parts. The back section, located next to Travino’s future community gardens, is steaming ahead with siding and decking installations on the outside of the building. Windows and patios doors are installed throughout.

Here’s an example of the quality of the premium exterior products that are being installed at Travino Gardens. James Hardie siding with ColorPlus Technology is a superior siding that will require less maintenance and lower costs for homeowners for years to come. ColorPlus is a durable, low-maintenance finish that lasts longer, has 30 % better fade resistance and adheres up to 400% better than any other paint available. And that’s just the outside of the building!

Inside Travino Gardens the insulation and drywall installations have begun! This includes installation of Travino’s award-winning soundproofing system that has been tested to perform better than concrete construction. Homeowners at Travino enjoy superior soundproofing that includes significant reduction of vibrations and sounds between homes.

Onto the second half of the Travino Gardens building, framing is on the third floor and we’ll have more to show you soon! Stay tuned for more details.

Still thinking about a home at Travino? There are some spectacular homes still available at Travino Gardens, the final phase of this beautiful community. They include a jaw-dropping sixth-floor penthouse, several of our ‘top floor living’ homes with southern exposure and oversized outdoor spaces as well as a handful of garden homes with walkout patios.

Staying Cool at Travino – Climate Controlled Homes All Year Long
Date / August 4, 2017

The summertime heat is upon us and many people are seeking out ways to cool down – especially here in Royal Oak where we enjoy one of the warmest pocket climates in Greater Victoria. While Travino is just minutes from beautiful lakes and beaches, our residents are also enjoying cooling off in the comfort of their own homes.

Thanks to our energy efficient VRF (Variant Refrigerant Flow) system, Travino homes are perfectly comfortable with cooling that’s available at the push of a button. The system allows homeowners to adjust each room in their home to their desired temperature and delivers cooling, comfortable air on demand.

Here are a few of the other reasons VRF’s innovative features benefit our homeowners.

  • No electric baseboard heaters. They use a huge amount of energy and cost a lot to operate. So far, heating AND cooling at Travino is proving to reduce costs by more than 40% compared with electric heat alone.
  • We’re feeling the heat now, but when fall temperatures begin to mingle with the end of summer heat, Travino homeowners will be able to heat and cool their homes and even specific rooms at the same time! It’s so easy to maintain a comfortable temperature at any time of year.
  • VRF is incredibly energy efficient because it is designed to provide exactly the amount of heating or cooling needed at any given time. It also captures heat from the cooling process and reuses it in other areas that may need heating (say one home that faces north and one that face south) at no additional cost and without using more energy. That means a lighter footprint on the planet and lower gas bills for residents.

VRF is proven technology that we chose for Travino because it’s an innovative, sustainable option that provides incredible comfort and value to our homeowners.

You can always get in touch to learn more.

Travino Construction Update | June 2017
Date / July 20, 2017

We are very excited to announce that our first homeowners at Travino Square began moving in last week! This stunning building is a major source of pride for our team and our homeowners. Travino Square is simply a beautiful place to live. It’s well-designed, energy efficient and healthy living spaces are connected to the incredible views and green space that surround the Travino community with oversized balconies and the rooftop patio! It’s also the first wood-frame building on Vancouver Island to include advanced soundproofing technology that has been tested to ensure its effectiveness. The results are in and Travino Square’s floor and ceiling construction outperforms the soundproofing in concrete buildings! We have chosen to invest in this innovative technology so that Travino homeowners can enjoy living in their new spaces in the utmost comfort and enjoy the peace of mind that goes along with investing in a quality home.

There are still some final touches on the inside and out being completed on Travino Square and our happy homeowners will continue moving in over the days ahead.

Travino Landing is well underway and on schedule for completion early next year. Framing is now finished and work has begun on the roof. Windows, doors and exterior finishes are scheduled for delivery and we will begin installation soon. This beautiful 4-storey building is tucked away in a quiet corner of Travino and will have all of the high-quality features that we’ve included in Travino Square as well as a bird’s eye view of our future water features, gazebo and walking trails.

Travino Square and Landing are completely sold out, however we’re getting close to the sales launch and ground breaking for the final building in this award winning community, Travino Gardens. We can’t wait to tell you more about this spectacular building so stay tuned via our newsletter and social media channels for updates.
